Superhero Buys Ice Cream

It was a very uneventful day in the ice cream truck until a man ran headfirst into it.
At first all I felt was a little bump, followed by the image of him sprawled on the ground in my rearview window. Fearing a lawsuit, I stopped the truck. He'd already gotten up and dusted himself off, now at my window and staring at me quizzically. He seemed to approve. "Greetings, innocent bystander!!!" he boomed. "I am your friendly neighborhood superhero, in dire need of your help!!!"

Oh, Deviantart. How I've missed you.

I've simply been COMPLETELY SWAMPED over the past few weeks. The worst part? The only real stuff I've written is about the "American Dream" and The Great Gatsby, not exactly what I want to be doing at the moment.

When can I go back to my poetry and prose?!

Only time will tell, I suppose.

Well, thank you so much for reading, commenting and favouriting SNIDE. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. Seriously, it means a lot to me. That is perhaps my favourite piece of writing I've done, because the character is in may ways... uh, me.
